In the 3rd week of May 2025 we had been to Munnar & Alleppey, also called Allapuza. It was short but memorable with cool weather due to occasional pre monsoon showers blessing the region.

We took a flight from Bengaluru to Kochi and then by road to reach Munnar.

In Munnar we visited:
1. Eravikulam National Park home for endemic Niligiri Tahr surrounded by lush green Kannan Devan Hills. It has a bus ride to the peak from forest department that goes through tea estates and forest cover for around 4 kms and at the peak after de-boarding the bus one can go for a walk for a kilometre till last point on a scenic trail. The surroundings are beautiful with Tahrs roaming around!

3. Elephant park of Carmelagiri

At Alleppey the stay was at a shared boat house that took us around the famous backwaters.
