In a recent conversation on the ANI Podcast with Smita Prakash, acclaimed actor Rajpal Yadav shed light on the growing impact of PR in Bollywood.

He expressed concern that public relations campaigns are often overshadowing real talent and honest storytelling. “Aaj ke zamaane mein PR sab kuch ban gaya hai. Talent ke aage PR khada ho gaya hai,” he remarked, pointing out how difficult it has become for artists without PR support to get the recognition they deserve.

Rajpal Yadav emphasized that films are made with passion, not just promotion. Recalling the 2005 gem Main, Meri Patni Aur Woh he fondly spoke about how the movie was a result of collective effort, where the entire team—from the director to the spot boy worked in sync to bring an emotional story to life.

“Itna chhota budget tha, lekin dil se kaam kiya sabne,” He said.

He also shared a touching moment from Birmingham, where a fan approached him with teary eyes, saying how Main, Meri Patni Aur Woh reminded him of his own life and struggles.

That moment, Rajpal said, made him realize the deeper impact of authentic cinema beyond box office numbers and marketing gimmicks.

Ending on a hopeful note, he urged filmmakers and audiences alike to bring the focus back to strong content and sincere performances, stating, “Cinema dil se banta hai, na ki sirf headlines ke liye.”
