Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan on Thursday directed officials to expedite land acquisition for the proposed flyover at Rasoolpura.
On Saturday, the Commissioner visited the Rasoolpura junction after inspecting existing bus bays in front of Secunderabad Railway Station.
The Rasoolpura flyover project was proposed in 2019 during the BRS government’s tenure. However, the project continues to face inordinate delays as 1.62 acres of land, belonging to the Inter-State Police Wireless Staff Quarters, still needs to be transferred to the GHMC.
The GHMC plans to construct the Rasoolpura flyover as part of the Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure (H-CITI) programme.
Begumpet Deputy Commissioner Dhanavath Dhaku Naik told Telangana Today that “the GHMC Commissioner spent a few minutes at the site and discussed the proposed flyover project with officials.”
