George Blanda holds the record as the oldest player in NFL history, having played until he was 48 years old. His career began in 1949 with the Chicago Bears. He played his final season in 1975, although he participated in one last game in 1976 before officially retiring that same year. Throughout his 26-year career, he excelled as a quarterback and a kicker.
