Adilabad: An elderly man died after plunging into a popular waterfall as he was allegedly depressed following some family disputes at Pochera village in Boath mandal on Thursday.
Police said that Gaddam Narsa Reddy (58) from Tejapur village in Neradigonda mandal ended life by jumping in the waterfall even as visitors watched his extreme act, but could not prevent it.
Ajay Reddy, elder son of the man alleged that Narsa Reddy was demoralised after a tiff with his younger son Aswith Reddy over sharing of assets. Aswith Reddy was married to a girl from a weaker section and was staying in Nirmal. He came to Tejapur and picked up an argument with Narsa Reddy seeking share in property when none was present on Thursday.
