After leaks and rumors, the ROG Xbox Ally has finally been revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025. The green team is partnering with ASUS to create the next PC handheld in the ROG family, and it will be available in both the base ROG Ally and the more powerful ROG Ally X versions. Built from the ground up with the Xbox ecosystem in mind, it is their first foray into handhelds.

The base version will be available in white, while the X version comes in black color. Both will utilize Windows 11 as their operating system (OS), with built-in Xbox apps and optimized features, to provide a feature-rich experience across the board, while also offering the freeform accessibility of a PC handheld.

What’s more is that it will also boast an exclusive Xbox button, allowing access to the Game Bar, while a reworked design allows for ergonomics akin to the Xbox controllers.


When does ROG Xbox Ally release?

Both the base and X versions will be available in Holiday 2025. At launch, the console will be available to buy in the following regions:

  • Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States
