Osimhen says no to Al-Hilal

Football Italia can confirm that Victor Osimhen has given a definitive rejection to Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilalwho had offered a staggering €30m-per-season contract offer to the Nigeria international. Al-Hilal had also been prepared to pay the full €75m release clause in Osimhen’s contract with Napoli, but that deal has now effectively fallen through. The 26-year-old remains keen on staying in Europe.

Reijnders Has Man City Medical

Sunday could be the last day that Tijjani Reijnders is still considered a Milan player. The Netherlands international has completed his medical with Premier League giants Manchester City ahead of an expected €70m move to the Etihad. Reijnders has also announced his intention to team up with Pep Guardiola’s squad in time for the start of the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.

Al-Hilal triple blow in Serie A

Al-Hilal have now made three unsuccessful approaches for big-name Serie A players, including the aforementioned Osimhen. Theo Hernandez, for whom Al-Hilal had offered €30m plus a €20m-per-season contract offer, is also unlikely to move to the Middle East this summer. Football Italia also exclusively revealed that Lazio have turned down a €30m bid for former Arsenal full-back Nuno Tavares. Reports suggest that Al-Hilal are also looking at Roma’s Angelino for their left-back position.

Vlahovic puts Fenerbahce on hold and talks to Milan

Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, who has been linked with a move to join Jose Mourinho at Fenerbahce, has reportedly spoken to new Milan coach Massimiliano Allegriunder whom he worked at the Allianz Stadium. The Serbian is expected to leave the Old Lady this summer, and while he could be available for a low-cost transfer fee heading into the final year of his contract, his wages, which will exceed the €10m-per-season mark in 2025-26, could be an issue for the Rossoneri.

Maignan ready for Chelsea

Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan is expected to formally complete a permanent transfer to join Chelsea in the Premier League on Monday. Reports suggest that the two teams have found an agreement over a price tag in the region of €18m for the 29-year-old Frenchman. The Rossoneri, meanwhile, are expected to Turin to Turin Stopper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic as a replacement.
