Renault is set to expand its Indian product portfolio with three all-new models including the third-gen Duster, Duster 7-seater and an A-segment EV. Additionally, the French automaker will introduce the updated Tiber and Kiger along with their electric versions in the next couple of years. The new Renault Duster and its 7-seater (Renault Boreal) are key products that the company is betting big on to strengthen its market presence.
Launch Timeline:
The 5-seater Duster will hit Indian roads in 2026, possibly in the second half. The Renault Duster 7-seater SUV (officially named – Renault Boreal) will make its global debut on 10th July, followed by its global and India launch next year.
Hybrid & Petrol Powertrains:
In India, the new Renault Duster will be offered with multiple powertrain options – petrol, mild hybrid and strong hybrid. In global markets, the SUV is available with a 130bhp, 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine paired with a 48V starter motor. The strong hybrid version features a 94bhp, 1.6L, 4-cylinder petrol engine, mated with two electric motors (a 49bhp motor and a high-voltage starter generator) and a 1.2kWh battery. Its combined power output stands at 140bhp. Similar to its previous generation, the third-gen Duster will offer 4X4 capabilities.
Expected Features:
Renault hasn’t revealed the official feature list of the new Duster and its 7-seater variant. However, both SUVs are expected to be packed with several advanced goodies such as
