Quantum Energy expands net-zero EV manufacturing facility in Hyderabad to meet rising demand

Hyderabad, June 9 (UNI) Hyderabad-based electric vehicle (EV) startup Quantum Energy Limited has announced the expansion of its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Maheshwaram, near the proposed Future City in Hyderabad.

The upgraded plant boasts a production capacity of 2 lakh electric two-wheelers per annum and spans an area of 2.4 lakh square feet.

Designed as a net-zero facility, the expansion aligns with the company’s commitment to sustainable manufacturing and supports Telangana’s vision of becoming a hub for clean and future-ready industries. The new facility is also expected to create substantial employment opportunities in the region, a company statement said on Monday.

This strategic expansion comes amid growing demand for Quantum Energy’s electric two-wheeler models, such as Plasma, Milan, and Bziness, as well as upcoming new product launches. These models are known for combining smart features with high performance, tailored to Indian roads and weather conditions.

The company is also strengthening its focus on last-mile connectivity and eco-friendly mobility solutions, aiming to redefine the two-wheeler segment through innovation and affordability.

Commenting on the development, Chakravarthi Chukkapalli, Managing Director, Quantum Energy, said, “The expansion of our Maheshwaram facility marks a significant milestone in our journey. As India accelerates toward electric mobility, we remain committed to delivering technologically advanced, energy-efficient two-wheelers. This net-zero facility reflects our vision for a cleaner future and our commitment to building a greener planet for eco-conscious consumers.”

He also praised Telangana’s role as a fertile ground for innovation and expressed pride in contributing to the state’s growing leadership in the EV ecosystem.
