Hyderabad: The Telangana high court on Tuesday issued an interim order prohibiting civic authorities from dumping material on land located in Guttala Begumpet near Madhapur in the city.Justice B Vijaysen Reddy issued the orders while hearing a writ petition filed by one Bukhtyar Khan and others.The petitioners, who claim ownership of the land, challenged the govt’s alleged unauthorised interference with their possession of the property. Senior counsel A Venkatesh argued that HYDRAA, being a state entity, cannot deny involvement in earlier proceedings where status quo orders exist.Senior counsel L Ravichander, representing the petitioners, highlighted a 2018 high court interim order maintaining the status quo on the property. He noted that the govt previously lost its claim to the property and did not appeal against the single judge’s order. The court adjourned the matter after directing that no dumping should occur on the disputed land.
