Last weekend we went for a 300+ km drive in 25 Jimnys for a trail drive after Burdwan. It was through scenic village roads. Engaging 4×4 was not the requirement for the day, though there was a bit of slush, which the Jimnys handled well in 2WD itself. Thanks to Mr.Anirban Mukherjee, aka Babul da, for the route planning.
5 of us with the walkie-talkies were in charge of managing the whole convoy.
But when 25 Jimnys come together and ace rallyist Mr. Anirban Mukherjee, or an ace off-roader like Mr. Hero Sen, is part of the leading team, then how can they miss the chance to let the team engage the 2nd gear lever! So yes, that part was also ticked off!
Bhpian Sadnabrina was part of the organizing team, but sadly, he was out of station, so he couldn’t join the drive.
Mr.Sandip Mukherjee was our event manager! If he takes charge of a meet, he will ensure everything falls in place, right from food to destination, to the number of participants, to the convoy discipline. And yet again, he excelled!
My job was to be the sweeper car and ensure no one is left out of the convoy, & click pics of the meet!
