7 All-New Tata Cars & 23 Updates

Tata Motors has just revealed its most ambitious five-years product roadmap yet, and it’s packed with several exciting models. The homegrown automaker is gearing up to launch 7 all-new models and 23 updates across its existing product range by FY2030 including the grand comeback of the Sierra and the debut of the premium Avinya EV range. Aiming to build a future-ready product portfolio, Tata will adopt a multi-powertrain strategy along with new technologies and a modern design language.

7 New Nameplates Confirmed By FY2030

This is one of the biggest announcements yet. Tata plans to introduce 7 new nameplates by financial year 2030, which will include 3 ICE (internal combustion engine) models and 4 electric vehicles (EVs). The new Tata Sierra will be the first to hit roads, expected the Diwali season this year. It will be followed by the introduction of the Avinya premium EV brand, which will feature two products –Avinya and Avanya x x. Both these EVs are expected to arrive in 2027.

Tata has also confirmed the development of two more all-new ICE-powered vehicles/nameplates and two new electric models. However, the names and details of these upcoming Tata cars are still under the wraps.

23 Facelifts & Special Editions

Aiming to boost sales, Tata Motors will keep its lineup fresh with at least 23 facelifted models and special editions by FY2030. These updates will cover models like Tiago, Tigor, Nexon, Punch, Harrier and more.

Tata Harrier Petrol/Safari Petrol By FY2026

Furthermore, the carmaker has confirmed that the Tata Harrier and Safari with updated powertrain (petrol versions) will arrive by FY2026. While the official powertrain details will be revealed closer to their launch, both models are expected to feature a new 1.5L TGDi (turbocharged, direct injection) petrol engine. This new motor will generate a maximum power of 170Ps and 280Nm of torque. It will comply with the BS6 Phase II emission standards and E20 ethanol-blend compatible.
