Bollywood Superstar Aamir Khan is much worried about the ongoing business trends and the massive changes in theatrical business. The OTT players have been dominating the entire film market and the early digital premieres are killing the theatrical revenues. Aamir Khan decided to go against all these with his upcoming release Sitaare Zameen Par. The film releases on June 20th and he is heading for his own release through the biggest multiplex chain PVR Cinemas.
Aamir Khan’s strategy is to have a decent release instead of a huge number of shows. The number of shows will be increased as per the word of mouth. Aamir Khan has personally been monitoring the schedules of the shows. He also showed the film for several sections of the audience and he is all delighted with their response. Aamir believes that Sitaare Zameen Par is a film with potential and he did not close the digital deal of the film though he has a deal that can fill his pockets and recover the investment.
