Kajol was in the news again a few days ago after the trailer release of her upcoming film Maa. Most of us liked the trailer owing to its horror elements and thrill.The film is releasing in the theatres on June 27.
Meanwhile, the makers also let everyone know that Maa belongs to the same universe as Shaitaan, starring Ajay Devgn, Madhavan, Jyothika, and more. This also led many to speculate about the upcoming updates on Shaitaan 2.

Though the cast remains tight-lipped about Shaitaan 2, there’s a strong hint pointing towards its development. Its first installment was based on the Gujarati original Vash, which already has a sequel of its own – Vash 2.
The film is releasing on August 27. This also strongly indicates that the Hindi sequel’s script is likely ready, with production possibly beginning soon.

Even though Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan had joined Kajol for Maa’s promotions, the duo carefully avoided revealing details about the Shaitaan sequel. However, there has been confirmation that it’s in the pipeline.
Last year, horror films like Stree 2 and Munjya performed quite well at the box office.
However, many credited the success to the comic elements present in both films. However, as seen in the trailer, Maa is completely horror-centric and so is Shaitaan’s first installment.
