Happened to drive a Grenadier last week. Belonged to an acquaintance of mine. It is the 1924 edition which is a limited run of 1924 units worldwide.
I was pleasantly surprised by the car. Great build quality, awesome drive train from BMW. loved the old school ‘physical buttons everywhere’ look. Easy to use even with gloves on. All weather interiors can be hosed down even.
Loved the ‘toot’ horn quirk. The Tesla Model 3 like gauge cluster on the central screen is something that takes longer to get used to. The small screen in front has only warning lights etc.
As a matter of fact, I love the interior of this car over the Defender.
The on-road drive was quite good. No surprises except for the steering, which doesn’t self-center.
However good it is, it is not good enough to replace my Brit Bloke.
