Hyderabad: Newly-appointed Muslim general secretaries and vice-presidents of the TPCC on Thursday said the lack of a Muslim MLA cost the community a cabinet berth but expressed hope that a ministerial opportunity could open up through the MLC route. They asserted that only Congress prioritises social justice and minority representation.The TPCC recently named six Muslim general secretaries and three vice-presidents. Congress spokesperson Syed Nizamuddin convened a media interaction with them.TPCC vice-presidents Nawab Mujahed Alam Khan and Afser Yousuf Zai, along with general secretaries Mohammed Abdul Faheem, Mohammed Asaduddin, Rahmath Hussain, and Mohammed Sabir Ali, participated.Nizamuddin said the Congress has historically upheld minority rights and ensured their political inclusion. The new leaders bring grassroots experience and social commitment, he added.
