Hyderabad: The All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen Yakutpura MLA Jaffar Hussain Meraj and his followers had to face tough moments when local people mobbed them at Moula ka Chilla when they went to visit rain affected areas on Thursday.
Rain water entered into several houses in Yakutpura Madina Colony, Moula ka Chilla and other areas during heavy rains on Thursday.
The local people themselves had entered into the nala at Moula ka Chilla after the local GHMC workers failed to turn up to clear the obstructions to allow free flow of water.
The AIMIM Yakutpura MLA went to inspect the damage when local people angrily complained to him about the problems.
At one point of time, when local party workers tried to allegedly threaten the local people the latter got angry and heckled the local leaders in front of the MLA pointing out they were not interested in solving public problems.
The MLA was later escorted away from the place by his security.
The MLA later told the GHMC is taking up widening of Nala and it being a big project is a time consuming task. He said the senior officials had visited the spot earlier and assured to speed up the works.
