The Alabama Crimson Tide will look to put themselves in a good spot as they welcome Florida State Seminoles commit Karon Maycock to Tuscaloosa this coming weekend for an official visit.

The three-star rated prospect is coming off a visit to the Penn State Nittany Lions and Syracuse Orange. After the visit with Bama, he will take an official visit to Florida State. The linebacker will then take some time to gather his thoughts before announcing his final decision on July 7.

Maycock committed to the Seminoles back in February but has continued to take visits since then. The Miami, FL native is ranked the No. 33 linebacker and No. 63 player in the Sunshine State per 247Sports.

Kalen DeBoer and his staff have turned up the heat when it comes to recruiting despite having just two commitments in the last several months. However, they are trending for some of the top recruits in the country.

The Crimson Tide is reportedly in a good position to land four five-star recruits. Wide receiver Cederian Morgan, running back Ezavier Crowell, linebacker Xavier Griffin, and safety Jireh Edwards are all names to watch for Alabama fans. They are also finalists for several other recruits, including four-star offensive tackle Deacon Schmitt, who will announce his decision on June 28.

Despite a slow start in 2025 for DeBoer in securing commitments from the class of 2026, they still rank in the top 10 of the On3 team recruiting rankings. The following two months could see Bama move up into the top 5 if everything goes as planned.
