Telangana Calls the World to Co-Create the Future

At the Global Leaders’ Summit 2025 in Hyderabad, Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister, D. Sridhar Babu, issued a powerful call for global collaboration, declaring, “Telangana is not just formed — it’s unstoppable.”

Speaking to delegates from 25 nations, including Germany, Malta, the UK, and Argentina, the Minister invited industries to partner in a journey of shared progress, not just investment. He asserted that Telangana’s economic strides speak for themselves: a state GDP of ₹16.12 lakh crore growing at 10.1%, ₹3 lakh crore in recent investments, and a services sector contributing 66.3% of GDP.

He informed that sectors like Life Sciences alone have brought in ₹40,000 crore, creating over 2 lakh jobs. The Minister highlighted Telangana’s push in Agro-Innovation, AI Governance, Smart Healthcare, and Clean Energy, saying, “Other states follow trends — Telangana creates them.”

With global dignitaries such as Malta’s Governor of IODR and Belgian MPs in attendance, the summit served as a springboard for transformative partnerships.

“Come not just to invest — come to co-create,” Sridhar Babu concluded, positioning Telangana as a beacon of innovation, inclusivity, and global collaboration.

Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle: Dasari Harichandana Appointed Hyderabad Collector

In a significant administrative shake-up, the Telangana government has appointed IAS officer Dasari Harichandana as the new Collector of Hyderabad. The reshuffle, announced on June 12, involves 36 cadre and 4 non-cadre officers across key departments and districts.

Harichandana previously served as Special Secretary in the Roads and Buildings Department. She replaces Anudeep Durishetty, who has now been posted as the Khammam Collector.

The bureaucratic reshuffle includes, among other key changes:

  • T. Vinay Krishna Reddy takes charge as the Nizamabad Collector, replacing Rajeevgandhi Hanamanthu.
  • Nikhil Chakravarthi, formerly Executive Director of TGIIC, steps in as Director, Industries.
  • Sneha Sabarish, who served as Additional Commissioner in GHMC, becomes the new Collector of Hanamakonda.

This marks one of the largest administrative overhauls since Congress came to power in Telangana.
