If you’re specifically looking for a 6-seater layout, ADAS, or a diesel-automatic variant, your choices narrow down quite a bit.
BHPian Ripcord09 recently shared this with other enthusiasts:
Earlier this year, Kia launched the Clavis – a refreshed version of the Carens with updates to the exterior and interior. It is a more feature-rich version of the standard Carens, which is now offered in a single variant, nudging buyers to choose the Clavis. Here’s a link to our full official review of the car – (Review Link).
A total of 7 variants are on offer, of which the 6-seater variant is exclusively offered only in the top-spec HTX+ variant. Here’s a deep dive into all the variants to help you identify the most valuable trim for your preferences.

Conclusion
With three engine options and four different gearboxes, there’s a wide range of combinations available. But if you’re specifically looking for a 6-seater layout, advanced driver assistance features (ADAS), or a diesel-automatic variant, your choices narrow down quite a bit.
Based on this, the ideal variant with the most engine and gearbox options on offer is the HTK+(O). It also offers the most value, equipped with all the necessary features, including sunroof, wireless phone charger, front and rear parking sensors and more.
For Rs 2.10 lakh cheaper, you can opt for the budget-friendly HTK variant that also comes with a decent set of features. However, the turbo-petrol engine gets downgraded to a naturally aspirated motor.
Alternatively, if you are looking for complete bells and whistles, including Level 2 ADAS, drive modes and a 6-seat configuration, then it has to be the HTX+ variant with the DCT automatic priced Rs 3.8 lakh more than the HTK+(O).
Do let us know what you think is the most value-for-money variant, and also, if you had to buy the Kia Carens Clavis, which variant would you pick?
