Hyderabad: The three-day Akhil Bharatiya Prant Pramukh Baithak of Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal, which concluded at Kanha Shanti Vanam here on Sunday, saw the participation of 313 eminent educators, including 30 Vice Chancellors, from across the country.
Addressing valedictory session, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh all India executive committee member, Dr. Manmohan Vaidya emphasized the fundamental importance of values in life.
Values are the essence that makes a human truly human. The real purpose of education is to build a value-based society, which can guide the creation of a prosperous and strong India, he said.
While skills are attractive, it is the values that inspire people and bring about real transformations, he said, adding that a skilled person attracts others, but a person with values inspires and brings change in others’ lives.
The event was conducted to strengthen the Indian education system by integrating values, character-building, and Indian culture into its core. Over the three-days, participants engaged in intellectual sessions, dialogues, and workshops focusing on the Indian perspective on education, the inclusion of Indian ethos in educational policies, the necessity of value-based education, and the role of universities.
