Leaving millions of his fans and well-wishers from the film fraternity heartbroken, popular Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput ended his life on June 14, 2020. He was fondly remembered by his loved ones on his fifth death anniversary a couple of days ago.
Popular Bollywood screenwriter-director Rumi Jaffery has announced that he is currently working on the screenplay for a movie based on Sushant Singh Rajput and his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty’s love story. “I can still feel Sushant all around me. His company was so filled with joy and excitement. He was a very restless soul. He couldn’t sit still for even a minute. I used to get exhausted just seeing him walk and talk and just being there. And his girlfriend Rhea would be on his side, trying to calm him down,” Rumi Jaffery said in a recent media interaction.
Elaborating on his plans to make a film inspired by Sushant-Rhea’s love story, Rumy said, “It was an idea planted in my head from the time when Sushant was still with us. His love for Rhea was nothing ordinary. She could give her life for him.”
Rumi Jaffery is popular for his writing collaborations for several Govinda-David Dhawan movies. He also directed Amitabh Bachchan’s Chehre and God Tussi Great Ho, which also starred Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra in key roles. Rumi is said to be considering Jigra fame Vedang Raina for Sushant’s role in the movie.
