Superstar Rajinikanth and veteran actor Manchu Mohan Babu share a decades-long friendship that is well known in the film industry. In the past, Rajinikanth even acted in Mohan Babu’s “Pedarayudu” to support him during a financially challenging phase.
Continuing this close bond, Mohan Babu’s son Manchu Vishnu hosted a special screening of his upcoming devotional film “Kannappa” exclusively for Rajinikanth in Chennai. The film is set to release in theaters on June 27, but Vishnu wanted the superstar to watch it early and seek his blessings.
According to Vishnu’s tweet following the screening, Rajinikanth was deeply moved by the film. “After the film, he gave me a tight hug,” Vishnu wrote, expressing his gratitude. Mohan Babu was also present at the screening.
Kannappa, with Manchu Vishnu playing the titular role, is a grand devotional saga. The film also boasts cameo appearances by major stars, including Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, and Mohanlal, adding to the anticipation surrounding its release.
