Maruti Shield
Maruti Suzuki is set to launch a new 5-seater SUV (codenamed – Maruti Y17), which will be sold via Arena dealership network. This new model is likely to share some of its design elements, features, platform and powertrains with the Grand Vitara. However, reports suggest it will be slightly longer than its donor sibling. The powertrain options are expected to include a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5L strong hybrid unit.
New-Gen Hyundai Venue
The third-gen Hyundai Venue is expected to come with a significantly improved design and an upgraded cabin, while retaining the engines. The compact SUV might come with a newly-designed dashboard along with new seat upholstery and trims. Features such as a larger infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, updated instrument cluster and ventilated front seats could also be on offer.
Tata Sierra
The all-new Tata Sierra SUV will be offered with three engine options – petrol, diesel and electric. The carmaker might use a 165bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol and a 170bhp, 2.0L turbo diesel engine, while the Sierra electric is likely to share its powertrains with the Harrier EV – a 65kWh and a 75kWh. The SUV will feature a triple screen setup along with features such as a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charger, Level 2 ADAS and more.
Mahindra Xev 7e

Mahindra Xev 7e will be third born-electric SUV from the home-grown automaker in India. Leaked images confirm that this new EV will borrow design cues and features from the XEV 9e. However, some of its design elements will also resemble the IC-powered XUV700. Similar to the XEV 9e, the upcoming Mahindra XEV 7e could be offered with two battery packs – a 59kwh and a 79kWh.
VinFast VF6 and VF7
Official bookings for the VinFast VF6 and VF7 will begin in mid-July, with deliveries expected to start by mid-August. Similar to their global-spec models, the India-bound VF6 and VF7 EVs are likely to come in two variants – Eco and Plus. The VF6 Eco and Plus comes with a 59.6kWh battery pack and an electric motor, delivering power worth 178bhp with 250Nm and 204bhp with 310Nm, respectively.
The VF7 Eco and Plus variants feature a 75.3kWh battery, paired with a single and dual electric motors, respectively. The Eco variant churns out a maximum power of 204bhp against 310Nm, while the Plus trim with dual motor offers 354bhp with 500Nm.
