Maruti and Vitara

The and vitara will be the first electric offering from the Indo-Japanese automaker, set to hit roads in September, 2025. This electric SUV will come with 61.1kWh and 49kWh battery pack, delivering power worth 171bhp and 143bhp, respectively. The larger battery version will promise a range of over 500km and take nearly 50 minutes to charge from 0 to 80 percent. Being a premium product, the Maruti e Vitara will be packed with several advanced features including ADAS, 10-speaker Infinity sound system, a panoramic glass roof and more.

Maruti Shield

Codenamed Maruti Y17, the new Maruti 5-seater SUV will arrive just after the e Vitara. Its production version is likely to be named ‘Maruti Escudo’, sharing its platform, powertrain, design elements and features with the Grand Vitara. However, it will be slightly longer than its donor sibling. The Escudo might miss out on some premium features offered on the Grand Vitara, as it will be sold via the Arena dealership network and priced slightly lower.

Maruti Fronx Hybrid

The Maruti Fronx hybrid is certainly one of the much-awaited upcoming Maruti cars in 2026. It will mark debut of Maruti Suzuki’s in-house developed strong hybrid powertrain, which is said to be highly cost effective than Toyota’s hybrid powertrain. The Fronx hybrid will be offered with a 1.2L, 3-cylinder Z12E petrol engine, paired with an electric motor and a hybrid system. This setup will offer mileage of over 35kmpl.

New-Gen Maruti Baleno

The Maruti Baleno premium hatchback is set to receive a generation change next year. The model is likely to come with a significantly improved styling and an upgraded interior. However, the major update will come in the form of the strong hybrid powertrain. Similar to the Fronx hybrid, the Maruti Baleno hybrid will feature a 1.2L Z-Series petrol engine combined with an electric motor and a hybrid tech.

Maruti Mini MPV

As per media reports, Maruti Suzuki is planning to introduce a subcompact MPVwhich will be based on the Japan-spec Suzuki Spacia. Codenamed YDB, the mini Maruti MPV is expected to offer with a 1.2L, 3-cylinder Z-Series petrol engine, sourced from the Swift. This gasoline motor pushes out a peak power of 82bhp and 108Nm of torque. Both manual and CVT automatic gearboxes will be on offer.
