Brighton & Hove Albion are set to sign Japan international Moeka Minami according to reports.
The 26-year-old defender has just finished her third season with AS Roma but looks set to move to the WSL according to journalist Leonardo Frenquelli.
Minami has a release clause of €100,000 that the Seagulls have now triggered with an announcement expected to be made by the end of the week.
After initially joining Roma from Urawa Reds, Minami was part of the team that won the Italian top flight in 2022/23 and 2023/24. Last season, the centre-back featured 37 times in all competitions, chipping in with four goals for her side.
