Mercedes-Benz has rolled out a special edition of the EQS flagship sedan in India. Called the Mercedes EQS 580 Celebration Edition, this limited-run is priced at Rs 1.30 crore, offering additional features over the standard counterpart. Only 50 units of the special edition will be sold nationwide.

The Mercedes EQS 580 Celebration Edition comes with a Rear Seat Comfort Package, which offers multi-contour seats with massage functions and lumbar support and a recline of up to 38 degrees. Buyers can also opt for a Chauffeur package for enhancing front seats comfort. It allows the front seats to electronically adjusted from the rear.
This special edition comes with Nappa leather upholstery as standard along with designer seatbelt buckles. It also gets Mercedes-Benz’s MBUX Augmented Reality navigation system, which provides real-time navigation instructions via a live camera view of the road.

On the exterior, the Mercedes EQS 580 Celebration Edition features an illuminated grille cover, LED headlamps, 20-inch alloy wheels and rear light bar. The overall length, width and height of this special edition stand at 5,216mm, 2,125mm and 1,521mm, respectively. Mercedes’ flagship sedan has a wheelbase of 3,210mm and a ground clearance of 124mm.

The Mercedes EQS 580 Celebration Edition features a 107.8kWh battery pack, paired with two electric motor fitted on each axle. This setup delivers a whooping power of 544bhp and 858Nm of torque. It accelerates 0 to 100kmph in 4.3 seconds.

The electric sedan comes with an AWD (all-wheel drive) system. Mercedes-Benz claims that the EQS 580 offers an ARAI-certified range of 817km on a single charge. Its battery takes 11 to 17 hours to get fully charged via a 7.4kW charge and around 31 minutes to charge from 0 to 80 percent using a 200kW DC fast charger.
