Suzuki has launched the all-electric And Vitara in the United Kingdom at a starting price of £29,999 (around Rs 35 lakh) for the base-spec Motion variant equipped with a 49 kWh battery. The top-spec Ultra AllGrip-e variant, featuring a larger 61 kWh battery and all-wheel drive configuration, is priced at £37,799 (approximately Rs 44 lakh).

Despite the relatively high pricing in the UK, the E Vitara will be more affordable in India because it is being manufactured at the Suzuki Motor Gujarat facility in Hansalpur, near Becharaji, Gujarat, India. The UK-spec models have been exported from this plant.
The UK-spec E Vitara is available in two trim levels, Motion and Ultra. It offers two battery options: the base 49 kWh battery, which is only offered in the Motion trim, while the 61 kWh battery is available across both trims and includes Suzuki’s AllGrip-e all-wheel-drive system in certain configurations.

According to the WLTP testing cycle, the 49 kWh variant offers a range of up to 346 km, while the 61 kWh version can go up to 428 km in its single-motor, two-wheel-drive configuration. The UK market also gets a dual motor, 4WD variant with the same 61 kWh battery, offering a range of up to 412 km. However, it remains to be seen if this version will be offered in the Indian market.
As for performance, the 49 kWh single-motor variant produces 142 bhp, whereas the 61 kWh variant offers a higher output of 172 bhp. Both versions have a peak torque of 192.5 Nm. On the other hand, the AWD version, with dual motors, churns out a combined 178 bhp and 300 Nm of torque.

The launch of the E-Vitara in India has been delayed, though it remains on track for sometime in 2025. During Maruti Suzuki India Limited’s financial results call in April 2025, Chairman R.C. Bhargava confirmed that the E Vitara would be launched in the country within the year, with sales beginning before the end of September. He also noted that the majority of this year’s projected 70,000 units would be allocated for export.
