Kailash Mansarovar Yatra to resume
Hyderabad:Kailash Mansarovar Yatra has been officially reopened for Indian pilgrims in 2025 after a five-year suspension. The pilgrimage was halted in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent border tensions between India and China. After diplomatic engagements between India and China in January 2025, both nations agreed to resume the Yatra in the summer of 2025.
Following the announcement to resume the yatra, Southern Travels has launched three packages for Kailash Manasarovar. A 14-day overland package from Kathmandu, a 12-day package with Helicopter from Kathmandu, a 10-day package with Helicopter from Lucknow, according to a press release here on Wednesday.
The itinerary will cover visits to Kathmandu, Kyirong, Saga, Lake Manasarovar, Darchen, Diraphuk and Zuthulphuk, accordin to Southern Travels MD Krishna Mohan Alapati.
