
Hyderabad District Collector Hari Chandana Dasari chairing a review meeting with officials from the Women and Child Welfare department, on the functioning of Anganwadi centres in the district, in Hyderabad, on Tuesday.
Hyderabad District Collector Hari Chandana Dasari on Tuesday directed officials to ensure that quality and nutritious food is provided to children at Anganwadi centres across Hyderabad district.
Highlighting the importance of these centres in early childhood care, the Collector underscored the need for continuous supervision by the concerned authorities to uphold service standards.
Chairing a review meeting with officials of the Department of Women and Child Welfare, the Collector reviewed the functioning of Anganwadi centres, Sakhi centres, and Shishu Vihars. She instructed officials to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries, including pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children, receive the benefits of Central and State welfare schemes.
The Collector noted that a total of 1,55,869 children across various age groups are being served at 970 Anganwadi centres spread across 37 sectors in Charminar, Golconda, Khairatabad, Nampally and Secunderabad. She stressed the importance of delivering quality services at these centres and instructed Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs) to undertake regular field inspections to monitor progress.
