Vijayawada: The high court on Wednesday stayed all further proceedings against former intelligence chief PSR Anjaneyulu in the case registered against him following the harassment complaint lodged by Bollywood actress Kadambari Jethwani. Anjaneyulu moved the HC seeking to quash the case against him. Jethwani lodged a complaint with Ibrahimpatnam police, alleging that Anjaneyulu, along with IPS officers Kanti Rana Tata, Vishal Gunni, and other police officials who worked under them harassed her based on a false complaint lodged by YSRCP functionary Kukkala Vidya Sagar. The high court earlier granted bail to other accused in the case and also stayed all further proceedings against the police officials who filed quash petitions. After his arrest in the case, Anjaneyulu too filed a quash petition. Considering his plea and in view of the earlier orders given in the case of other similarly placed accused, Justice N Harinath granted a stay on all further proceedings in the case and tagged the petition with the petitions filed by the other accused. Directing the police to file a counter affidavit, the court posted the matter for further hearing to June 30.
