Hyderabad: The Hyderabad MET department on Thursday has issued a yellow warning for strong surface winds, in addition to thundershowers and lightning, for all districts of Telangana for the next three-days.
The strong surface winds of 40 kmph to 50 kmph speed alert indicates sustained winds that could potentially damage property, can cause uprooting of trees leading to damage of vehicles and potentially even power lines, loose objects like hoardings, awnings and temporary structures becoming projectiles.
Apart from the forecast of light to moderate rain, the strong surface winds warning has been issued for all districts while thundershowers and lightning warning has been issued for several districts including Adilabad, KomaramBheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Yadadri Bhongir, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Jogulamba Gadwal districts of Telangana.
According to IMD-Hyderabad, the same weather pattern of strong surface winds, thundershowers and lightning will continue till June 26.
