80 food samples have been collected for analysis; bakeries urged to follow hygiene norms and label food items properly

Hyderabad: The GHMC Food Safety authorities have inspected 90 bakeries in the city as part of a special drive.
“So far, 57 bakeries have been inspected by Food Safety Officers, and the drive is ongoing. During these inspections, 80 samples were collected and sent to the State Food Laboratory in Nacharam for analysis,” a GHMC press release stated.
Food business operators have been urged to maintain hygiene standards in the preparation and sale of food items. They have also been advised to ensure kitchen cleanliness.
Additionally, the authorities have directed food operators to ensure proper labeling of all food items displayed at counters.
