Hyderabad: A valuable parcel of government land located in the city’s upscale Banjara Hills was reclaimed by Revenue officials in Hyderabad’s Shaikpet mandal on Friday.
“As per revenue records, the land at Road No. 12, Banjara Hills (TS.No.5, Block-H, Ward No.10 in Sy. No. 403/part of Shaikpet Village) is clearly classified as government property and is also listed in the land bank parcels list,” said Shaikpet Mandal Tehsildar Anitha Reddy.
“We observed that land sharks had encroached upon the site and erected a tin shed. Our field staff responded immediately, successfully resisting and foiling these illegal attempts to grab this valuable government asset,” she added.
Following the recovery, a signboard was installed on the site, clearly stating its government ownership and warning that trespassers will be prosecuted, the official said.
