Days after Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband and industrialist Sunjay Kapur’s tragic death, a new video has surfaced on social media which showcases his final moments. In the viral clip, Sunjay is seen lying on the ground after a heart attack. He is seen surrounded by medical personnel, one of whom is also seen pressing his chest, hoping he would gain consciousness.
Sunjay Kapur passed away on June 12 in England after suffering a fatal heart attack during a polo match. According to reports, the incident occurred when he accidentally swallowed a bee mid-game, triggering a severe allergic reaction that proved fatal despite immediate medical attention.
Sunjay Kapur was the chairman of Sona Comstar, a leading auto component manufacturer catering to electric vehicles globally. In addition to being a business leader, he was a passionate polo player, regularly seen on the field participating in matches.
Kapur’s last rites were held in New Delhi on June 19. A prayer meet has also been scheduled for June 22 at the Taj Palace Hotel in Delhi between 4 PM and 5 PM.
Among others, his funeral was also attended by his former wife and Bollywood actress Charisma kapoor. He was married to Karisma from 2003 until their divorce in 2016. The former couple has two children—daughter Samaira and son Kiaan. During the divorce process, the duo hurled several allegations against one another. After a legal battle, the actress won custody of her kids while Sunjay was granted rights to visit them. Sunjay later married Priya Kapur and had two more children, Safira and Azarias. He is also survived by his mother, Rani Surinder Kapur.
Meanwhile, just hours before his untimely demise, Sunjay had expressed condolences on X (formerly Twitter) regarding the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad. His last few social media posts included motivational messages, one of which read, “Your time on Earth is limited. Leave the ‘what ifs’ to the philosophers and instead dive headfirst into the ‘why nots’.”
