Hyderabad: Mild tension prevailed when several residents from the surroundings of Sunnam Cheruvu staged a protest against HYDRAA and the State government at Ayyappa Society in Madhapur on Monday.
They alleged that the HYDRAA authorities were conducting a survey as part of plan to demolish their houses
The residents alleged that the 15 acres of Sunnam Cheruvu were being shown as 32 acres and they are being asked to vacate their houses
Angry over the authorities conducting survey, which was already given a stay by the court, protestors staged protest on the main road, causing a significant traffic congestion in the area.
Some protestors carrying petrol bottles threatened to end their lives demanding justice.
The police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
