HYDERABAD: Revenue and housing minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Sunday said the state govt will construct 20 lakh Indiramma houses in the next three-and-a-half years.Addressing a public meeting in Nakrekal, where Indiramma house sanction documents were distributed, the minister said the first phase of the scheme was already underway for the construction of 4.5 lakh houses. The govt has set a target of constructing 3,500 houses in each of the 119 constituencies.Referring to the state’s land regularisation initiative Bhu Bharati, he said 8.6 lakh applications were received from various districts and villages during revenue grievance meetings. “All the legitimate applications would be resolved by Aug 15 to provide much-needed relief and freedom to farmers. The Congress govt is committed to solving the land-related disputes through Bhu Bharati, ensuring justice to farmers and eliminating confusion over land ownership,” he added.
