Suzuki Alto, the highly popular Kei car in Japan, has received a midlife update featuring a slightly revised design, improved AEB (autonomous emergency braking) and class-leading fuel efficiency. It also gets a new monotone Terracotta Pink colour along with dual-tone colour schemes – Phoenix Red Pearl or Nocturne Blue Pearl with black roof, and Chiffon Ivory or Foggy Blue Pearl with soft beige roof.
The 2025 Suzuki Alto model lineup comes in four variants – A, L, Hybrid S and Hybrid X – priced from 1,142,900 to 1.639 million yen.

Design Changes:
On the exterior, the updated Alto features a redesigned grille with a new chrome garnish in cradle-like black trim, housing a new radar module. The lower grille is now larger than before, and both the front and rear bumpers have also been revised.

Improved AEB & More:
The new radar module works as a Dual Sensor Brake Support II for AEB. Features such as the lane departure prevention, low speed brake support (both forward and reverse), departure notification alert and parking sensors now come as standard. The 2025 Suzuki Alto is now available with an optional 7-inch infotainment system with Suzuki Connect telematics support. No changes have been made to its dashboard, centre console, cabin layout and seating arrangement.

In Japan, the 2025 Alto continues to be offered with two engine options a 658cc, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol and a 658cc petrol with a WA04C electric motor and a small lithium-ion battery. The former delivers a maximum power of 46bhp at 6,500rpm and 55Nm of torque at 4,000rpm, while the mild hybrid setup offers 48bhp at 6,500rpm and 58Nm of torque at 5,000rpm. Both engines are available with a CVT gearbox and FWD/AWD options.
Mileage:
Suzuki claims that the new 2025 Alto delivers a best-in-class fuel efficiency of 28.2kmpl on the WLTC cycle. This mileage figure applies to the hybrid FWD variant.
