Andhra Pradesh government issues PD orders against three ganja traffickers in Vijayawada 

The State government has issued Preventive Detention (PD) orders against Addanki Satish Kumar, Shaik Akbar Basha and Tummala Manoj, of Vijayawada, who were involved in illicit trafficking of Cannabis (ganja).

The Prohibition and Excise Department officials issued the detention orders against the ganja peddlers on June 23. The ganja smugglers were involved many cases.

The NTR District Police Commissioner in his report submitted that the habitual drug consumers were resorting to robberies, snatching and other crimes posing a threat to the public.

The accused should be in preventive detention for one year under Section 11 of the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (PIT NDPS Act, 1988), the orders said.
