Hyderabad: In a gruesome incident, a woman was allegedly killed by her minor daughter with the help of her boyfriend and his brother for refusing to approve her relationship at their house in Jeedimetla.

The victim identified as Satla Anjali (39), who is the great granddaughter of Chakali Ilamma, an Indian revolutionary leader during the Telangana Rebellion, and her minor daughter and other family members lived at NLB Nagar in Jeedimetla.

The minor girl, studying 10th class, was in love with a youth named Pagilla Shiva (19). Anjali reprimanded her daughter as she too young for such affairs and have a relationship. She advised her to focus on studies instead.

According to the police, the mother and daughter duo often had arguments over it and recently the girl left home with Shiva, without informing anyone at home. The family had filed a complaint with the Jeedimetla police, who booked a kidnap case and took up investigation.

Even as the case was under investigation, the girl returned home on Saturday, allegedly with a pre-plan with her boyfriend Shiva to eliminate her mother. Shiva came from his native place to Jeedimetla with his younger brother Pagilla Yashwanth (19) and went to Anjali’s house on Monday late evening.

While Anjali was busy with puja at home, Shiva pounced on her with a bed sheet from behind, covering her face. Later, Anjali’s daughter grabbed a hammer and hit her mother repeatedly on the head, causing her to lose consciousness and fall on the ground. Shiva’s younger brother then slit her throat with a knife, killing her on the spot.

On receiving information on Tuesday early hours from the neighbours, the Jeedimetla police reached the spot and took up investigation.

The suspects were detained and the victim’s body was shifted to the hospital for autopsy. The police were yet to announce the arrests.

A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
