The Hyderabad Police arrested eight men for performing a dangerous stunt on a single two-wheeler along the Outer Ring Road (ORR) service road on Tuesday, after a complaint about the incident was flagged on social media platform X.
The group was filmed riding recklessly in a rash and negligent manner, drawing widespread concern over the threat posed to both themselves and other motorists.
The stunt was carried out on a busy stretch of the national highway, known for fast-moving traffic. Police said the men obstructed the free flow of vehicles while engaging in the act, endangering lives on a public road.
After receiving the alert, a team was immediately dispatched to identify and locate the accused. All eight were traced and handed over to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) Police Station, where a formal complaint has been registered and legal action is underway.
The Station House Officer of Rajendranagar Police Station confirmed that the group’s actions amounted to a serious breach of public safety and warranted immediate intervention.
In a similar incident, the police in Hyderabad, arrested two students for performing reckless stunts in a BMW SUV and a Toyota Fortuner on Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road. The two were taken into custody after CCTV footage helped the police track them down.
