Test drove the Innova Hycross: Quick observations on features & more BHPian hitzscofield recently shared this with other enthusiasts: Test drove the Hycross today. The longish bonnet makes you feel like you’re driving an SUV (almost). When you press start, the only indication that the car is actually on is the “ready” sign on the instrument cluster. When you press the accelerator, the car starts moving with adequate power on tap. When you push the car, the EV mode goes away with the ICE engine getting into its zone with a CVT like groan. The car is sufficiently powered for all needs in the city and should be enough for highways too. The steering is much lighter than the Crysta but you can always feel the length and bulk of the car when you drive. The center console is functional but is not plush. There is two zone climate control – one for front row and one for second row. The ottoman seats are cool but I don’t think there is adequate space to actually extend them and relax. Haven’t tried this fully though. As like all Toyotas, everything works like a charm including the electric boot release and closing operation. The brown interiors was darker. I wish Toyota adds the light brown trim from Fortuner which will make the interiors look a lot more premium. The top end ZXO is a whopping 42 lakhs on road in Hyderabad with the limited edition pushing to 43.5 lakhs! Check out BHPian comments for more insights and information.
