MG Majestor
Based on the ladder-frame chassis, the MG Majestor will be a pure 4X4 SUV, powered by a 2.0L turbo diesel engine. This motor comes in two states of tune – 163bhp with 375Nm (single turbo) and 218bhp with 480Nm (bi-turbo). The 4X4 drivetrain system will be offered exclusively with the twin-turbo variant. The Majestor is essentially the sportier version of the updated Gloster SUV.
Tata Sierra
The Tata Sierra EV could be offered with the AWD (all-wheel drive) setup, sourced from the Harrier EV. This electric SUV might also borrow powertrains from the newly-launched electric Harrier, which is available 65kWh LFP and 75kWh LPF battery options. The 65kWh battery pack is paired with a single electric motor mounted on the rear axle, while the 75kWh battery comes with the dual motors setup. The Sierra’s range figures might vary from the Harrier EV.
Mahindra Thar Facelift
The Mahindra Thar has always been known for its exceptional off-road performance. The SUV is set to receive a midlife update next year. The updated model will borrow several design elements and features from the Thar Roxx. Under the hood, the 2026 Mahindra Thar facelift will feature a 152bhp, 2.0L petrol (RWD & AWD options) and a 117bhp, 1.5L diesel and a 132bhp, 2.2L 4WD.
Renault Duster/Boreal

Renault will introduce the third-generation Duster and Boreal 7-seater SUVs in 2026. These upcoming SUVs will share platform, powertrains, components, features and design elements. Similar to its previous generation, the new one could be offered with an optional AWD drivetrain system. Interestingly, the new Renault Duster will be offered with petrol and hybrid powertrain options. The carmaker is also considering CNG fuel option for the SUV.
New-Gen Toyota Fortuner
The next-generation Toyota Fortuner is expected to arrive with a 204bhp, 2.0L diesel engine and mild hybrid powertrain options. Its renowned 4X4 drivetrain system will also be carried forward from the current generation. The SUV is likely to receive significant changes inside and out. Media reports suggest that the 2026 Fortuner could be offered with the ADAS suite, vehicle stability control system and hydraulic steering system.
