The Eluru Two Town police arrested D.N.V. Vinayaka Prasad, hostel in-charge and head coach of the sports academy, for allegedly behaving indecently with the students. Based on the complaint of a victim, the Two Town police registered a case under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and sexual harassment charges. “The accused was on the run for the past few days. Special teams led by Eluru DSP D. Sravan Kumar and Two Town CI K. Ashok Kumar arrested the accused on Wednesday (June 25),” said Superintendent of Police K. Pratap Shiva Kishore. The accused was produced in the court, which remanded him to judicial custody for 14 days, Mr. Sravan Kumar, who is investigating the case told The Hindu.
