22 June 2025 – 21000kms update
I am currently with my son and daughter (and son-in-law) in Dublin, and I did a 250km drive on the Scala yesterday. The car was last serviced at around 13k km, and it was just a routine oil change service. The service interval here remains at 15k kms / 1year.
We drove down to Donegal for the weekend and to see the Slieve League cliffs, which are about 3 times the height of the world-famous ‘Cliffs of Moher’, and I had the 1st chance to drive the car personally. The drive includes mainly motorways (with 120 kmph limits) and some country roads and passes through the UK (Northern Ireland). The roads were pathetic in the UK section, and it was sad to see the neglect by the mainland. Ireland was a different story altogether,r and I could see why it is now the no. 1 ranked passport in the world. It was a fantastic ride with spell-binding views of the Wild Atlantic Wayespecially in the last few km.
A few shots of the car that I took –

Side, the colour really comes alive in the sun. Also, the color looks quite similar to the one on the Skoda Kodiaq that I saw being delivered on TeamBhp recently –
Back –
The engine. Same 1.0L TSI manual –
The boot. It swallowed our complete luggage of 5 on board. Even from the airport, 2 large and 2 cabin suitcases fitted easily –
Rear leg space. Fitted 3 full adults in absolute comfort over this 250km (one side) journey –
Front leg space –
The cockpit –
A colour comparison with a white one enroute –
Refreshment stop –
Reached our beautiful B&B –
Another view on site –
No filters. View from our room of the Atlantic coastline –
Our own private beach at the B&B –
The resistance piece, Slieve League Cliffs. Natural beauty at it’s best –
Cheers for now…
