Hyderabad: A 40-year-old man was booked by the Bolarum police for allegedly sexually harassing his minor daughter at their residence.

According to preliminary information, the accused, a painter by profession, would frequently return home in an inebriated condition and allegedly behaved inappropriately with his daughter while under the influence of alcohol.

For the past week, he had been consuming alcohol excessively and verbally abusing both his wife and daughter using foul language.

On June 23, the man reportedly came home drunk and, in the absence of his wife, misbehaved with his daughter. The girl later informed her mother about the incident.

Following a complaint lodged by the mother, the Bolarum police registered a case under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and began an investigation.
