This is my first long post, and I am going to be penning down a Road Trip to Srisailam.
BHPian racing recently shared this with other enthusiasts:
Our companion for this road trip is our trusted mile muncher Tata Harrier.
We are a family of four and our Ticket details are as follows:
1. Samuhika abhishekam : This ticket costs around ₹1500/- for both couples and for a single person.
2. For me and my sibling ₹500 tickets were booked. For the people who book ₹500 tickets, they can tag along with the ₹1500 ticket holders to the Abhishekam.
The Route Plan :
Orr Exit No.14 Tukkuguda – Kadthal – Amangal – Dindi – Kalwakurthy – Munnanur – Umamaheshwaram – Dornala – Srisailam .
DAY 1
We started our journey on the morning of 19th June 2025 at around 7:00AM.
I reset Trip Meter B to zero before we started the journey.
We stay around 140 KMs from Hyderabad – Shamirpet ORR Exit No.7.
So our first leg of the journey is to start from our home and head to towards Nehru Outer Ring Road.
Pulled over at a quiet lay-by along the road to enjoy a peaceful breakfast
break.
Filled up with Diesel to the brim at a Jio Bp bunk and this was the range shown, with an average mileage of 14.3 kmpl after covering a distance of 132 Kms.
Exiting the Nehru Outer Ring Road at Exit No.14, that heads towards the Srisailam Road and R.G.I Airport Road.
Now we reach Kadthal Toll Plaza and here the toll is ₹50/- .
At this point, we need to enter the on ramp of the flyover from the left side and then take a right on it and cross it towards the Srisailam Road.
This is the Ko9Pum Tollplaza and the toll here is ₹30/- .
This is the Dindi Reservoir.
There is an Electric Vehicle charging station along the way before Amrabad Tiger Reserve.
Amrabad Tiger Reserve Forest.
Here is a restaurant called Samisthi Aranya which also hosts an Electric Vehicle Charging Station. Cannot comment about the food as the time was just around 12:30PM and they were preparing it.
Now this the tollgate / checkpost for the Amrabad Tiger Reserve Forest. The toll amount is ₹50/- .
Here the forest roads are very well maintained and an ease to drive on. This is a no plastic zone and stopping here as well as feeding the wild animals is prohibited.
Here is an other forest check post albiet no toll though.
Stopped at Hilltop to the Mrugavan for lunch. They have rooms too and the views here are spectacular.
