Hyderabad: A woman who was reportedly in an inebriated condition created a sensation by driving her car on railway tracks at Shankarpally on Thursday. The woman was later caught and handed over to the Railway Protection Force.

The woman, who was not identified by the police, was spotted driving a white car on the railway tracks near Kodangal Gate by railway gang members. The railway employees tried to stop the woman, but she continued to drive on the tracks.


However, the people managed to stop the car and alerted the local police. A police vehicle reached the spot and took the woman into custody. The car was removed from the railway tracks and shifted to the police station. The vehicle did not have a registration number plate.

Due to the incident, the movement of trains on the Shankarpally- Hyderabad railway line was affected for some time.
