The Kia Carens Claivs EV will make its official debut on 15th July, 2025. The family electric car will also on sale with official price announcement on the same day. The entry-level variant of the Carens Clavis EV is estimated to be priced around Rs 18 lakh, aiming to compete against the higher trims of the MG Windsor EV. The higher trims are expected to cost around Rs 26 lakh – Rs 27 lakh, positioned to challenge the BYD eMax 7, which is available in the price range of Rs 26.90 lakh – Rs 29.90 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
Expected Powertrains:
The official powertrain specifications are still under the wraps. However, the Kia Carens Clavis EV is likely to borrow the 42kWh and 51.4kWh battery packs from the Hyundai Creta Electric. The smaller battery offers a claimed MIDC range of 390km, while the larger battery pack promises 473km on a full charge. The range figures for the Carens Clavis EV might vary due to its heavier body-built. It’s also likely to support both vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-load (V2L) charging functionalities.

EV-Specific Changes:
Visually, the Kia Carens Clavis EV will share a strong resemble with its ICE counterpart. Although, a few EV-specific cosmetic changes will differentiate the two models. Spy images reveal that the EV will feature a charging port at the front along with a blacked-off grille, revised bumper and angular LED headlamps. Unlike its ICE version, the electric Carens Clavis will also feature aero-optimized new alloy wheels.
New Theme & Features?
Inside the cabin, the electric Carens Clavis might get a new interior colour theme along with some additional features such as a power adjustable co-driver’s seat with boss mode, a digital key and ventilated second row captain seats. The rest of the features will likely to be carried over from the ICE-powered version including a dual screen setup, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, ambient lighting system, a 360 degree camera, ADAS suite, 6 airbags and more.
