NTR is all set to reunite with director Trivikram for a new project. Their earlier collaboration, Aravinda Sametha, was a faction drama. This time, they are joining hands for a massive mythological film based on the story of Lord Kartikeya, also known as Murugan or Subrahmanya Swamy.
The project was recently finalized and is expected to go on floors in the second half of 2025. However, NTR has already begun preparing for his role.
On Thursday, he was spotted holding a book titled Muruga, an English-language work that narrates the story of Lord Kartikeya. The book is written by Anand Balasubramanian. It’s clear that the actor has taken it upon himself to dive deep into the character through personal research.
Currently, NTR is filming a song sequence for “War 2,” his debut Bollywood film, and is expected to kick off promotions for the same soon. Simultaneously, he is also working on director Prashanth Neel’s Dragon, which is slated for a June 2026 release. Trivikram’s film will begin only after NTR wraps up Dragon.
His latest visual holding the Muruga book has since gone viral, creating a buzz among fans.
